Jun Wang, PhD, MS

Dr. Wang’s current research involves satellite remote sensing and Earth system modeling, focusing on aerosols, radiative transfer, fires, air-land interaction, air quality, and weather. His specialized fields of knowledge include interaction between atmospheric composition and extreme weather; impacts of aerosols on air quality and weather; and interdisciplinary research related to cloud and trace gases, air quality and public health, irrigation, land use, fire, agriculture and extreme weather, as well as solar and wind energy and Earth Science education.
