Dr. Eggers directs the Microbial Exposomics Lab, which investigates interactions between the human microbiome and environmental exposures in chronic disease risk across the lifespan from an epidemiologic perspective. Through multidisciplinary approaches integrating microbiome science, exposure assessment, and molecular epidemiology, her work aims to identify biological pathways that can inform prevention strategies for environmentally driven adverse health outcomes, including maternal and child health, neurobehavioral functioning, and cancer.
